A mere ten days after my last post about my distaste for Apple, there is more good news: some video iPods got shipped with a pre-installed windows virus. Although Apple apologizes, they are “upset at Windows for not being more hardy against such viruses.”

while the bad PR will fall totally on apple for this .. it’s been shown the virus originated from a windows computer used in production by a sub-contract company. of course everyone will be quick to jump on the blame apple train, even though they have absolutely no control over computers used/managed by another company under contract to them. i guess it’s just easier to blame apple then it is to blame HoLikeLongDong Asia Productions or whatever they might be called.

The reason that I am upset is because of the arrogance of Apple where they even hint at shifting the blame to Microsoft. It was wholly their own fault, so they should only blame themselves. As for Foxconn, Apple pays them money to deliver a product with the Apple brand name on them. So if Foxconn screws up, then Apple screws up also.
